Elbert County Emergency Services is proud to announce that Project Lifesaver is now in Elbert County.
Project Lifesaver is a program designed to locate and rescue missing persons. This program is designed especially for patients with Alzheimers, Autism, and other Similar Conditions that are prone to wandering.
This is accomplished through the use of radio tracking devices that are attached to the patient as a bracelet or anklet. These devices allow the patient to be tracked by Emergency Personnel, making recovery much easier.
Locally, Project Lifesaver is a partnership of Elbert County Emergency Services and the local Pilot Club. The Pilot Club will be responsible for distribution and maintenance of the transmitters with Emergency Services being responsible for tracking in the case of an emergency.
For more information you may contact the Pilot Club of Elberton or access information at Pilot International website or the Project Lifesaver website.
