The Elbert County First Responder Program is a volunteer program headed up by Elbert County EMS.
The First Responders are members of the Elbert County Fire Department & the City of Elberton Fire Department. The Responders are utilized on motor vehicle and industrial accidents, possible cardiac arrest, and respiratory distress calls.
All responders are trained in vehicle extrication in addition to their training as First Responders.
Through the use of First Responders in the nine County Fire Stations and the City Fire Department, Emergency Medical Care is just minutes away from anywhere in Elbert County.
